Obituary of Joann Steinfels

Joann M. Steinfels, 71, of Pocono Lake, died on Friday, January 7, 2011. She was the wife of Ronald Steinfels. Born in Angeola, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Jennie (Amendola) Staiano. Joann worked in the garment industry as a seamstress for many years until her retirement. She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Sole and husband Vincent of Cresco and Joann Yakscoe and husband Frank of Long Pond; a brother: Enrico Staiano of Pocono Lake; two sisters: Connie Terlizzi of Long Pond and Antoinette Bascotti of Union; seven grandchildren: Vincent, Gennaro, Maria, Joyce and Melissa Sole, Dana, Angela Yakscoe ; three great-grandchildren: Anjelia Sole-Lecorps, Malia Lecorps, Kaylie Sole; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister: Marie Lelino. There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 16, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Rts. 940 & 390 in Cresco. Fr. Joseph Kopacz will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, 27 Fairview Ave, Mt. Pocono.
