Obituary of William Nauman

William "Bill" Nauman, 95, of Paradise Valley, died Wednesday, May 3 at Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Doris (Franklin) Nauman. A life-long resident of Paradise Valley, he was the son of Lawrence and Mabel (Heydt) Nauman. Bill retired from the Tobyhanna Army Depot in 1972. He was a United States Navy veteran. After his retirement, he wrote two books about his personal experiences, Life in Paradise Valley and World War II - And Hawaii A Mechanics's Holiday. In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by a son, William O. Nauman, and his wife, Barbara of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence; and two sisters, Doris Stellmer and Arlene Hay. The Reverend David Crosby, Jr. will conduct a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
