Obituary of Vincent Fueyo

Vincent X. Fueyo, 89, of East Stroudsburg, died peacefully on November 7 at the VNA Hospice House. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita (Pepper) Fueyo. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late William and Matilda Fueyo. The family spent much time in New Jersey, as well as Staten Island,NY. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and worked for many years as a purchasing agent in the shipping industry. Upon his retirement he moved from New Jersey to his beloved Poconos where he could indulge in his hobbies of fishing and gardening. He was a member of St. Matthews Church in East Stroudsburg where he always enjoyed volunteering for the annual block party. He is survived by his son, Bill, of East Stroudsburg, and daughters Janet Elston of Newton, NJ and Dolores Sanders of California. He also leaves his grandchildren, Rita Elston, Alex and Kevin Morris, and great granddaughter, Szavannah, of Hawley, PA. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Mary and a sister and brother. As per his request, there will be no viewing and a memorial will be held at a later date.
