Obituary of Mary Storer

Mary Storer, 86, of Mountainhome, passed away on Sunday, February 14 at home. She was the wife of Philip W. Storer. In May 2009, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Wilhelmina (Mutch) Smith. She attended Sacker School of Art and Hickox Secretarial School, both in Boston, MA. Mary was the owner of The Glass I Stained Glass Studio in Stroudsburg. She was a member of the Canadensis United Methodist Church and the Barrett Library Book Club. She was also a volunteer with the Barrett Library Literacy Program. In addition to her husband, Philip, she is survived by three daughters, Beverly Altemose of Collegeville, Joanne Storer of Mountainhome, Cynthia Dalton and her husband Jack of Blairstown, NJ; six grandchildren, Darren, Jason, and Rachael Altemose, Amy Frederick, Eric Noone, and Meredith Woodward; and six great grandchildren, Marina, Ines, Lilah, Grace, Isabel, and Carter.. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert Smith; and three sisters, Evelyn Hamilton, Barbara Walker, and Janice Bennett. The Reverend George Alt will conduct a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18 at the Canadensis United Methodist Church. Family and friends may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory in Paradise Valley.
