Obituary of Christopher Nuttall

Christopher A. Nuttall, 69, of Mount Pocono, passed away on September 16, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Born May 15, 1942 in Norfolk VA, he was the son of the late Christopher Anthony and Ruth Adele (Samuel) Nuttall. Christopher served two terms in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a corrections officer in the State of NY until his retirement in 2003. A devoted cat lover, Christopher spent many years rescuing cats and finding them homes. Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Darling Nuttall; two daughters: Dena Cottrell of Honesdale and Sherry Beckmann and her husband, Bryan of Tannersville; seven grandchildren: Kristen Theobald and her husband, William, Samantha, Rebecca and Taylor Kelley; Peter , April, and Shawn Torre; one great-grandchild: William Theobald; devoted feline companion: Missy. Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman will conduct a memorial service on Friday, September, 23 at 2:00 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, Route 940 in Cresco. There will be a visitation on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of America, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
