Obituary of Joseph Kopesky

Joseph Kopesky, 43, of Henryville, passed away on Saturday, November 7 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Melissa (Ryan) Kopesky. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of Diane (Garufy) Quimby of East Stroudsburg and the late Ray Kopesky. A self employed contractor by trade, Joseph was very active in many sports associations. He was a coach or assistant coach for many area organizations including, ESYA Youth Sports, YMPA Football, PMYWC Wrestling, Pocono Mountain East Baseball, and the Monroe County Saints. He was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12447. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Anthony Kopesky of Henryville; four sisters, Laura DelValle of Edison, NJ, Janice Martinez of Staten Island, NY, Lisa VanZile of Riverside, CA, Jennifer Sienkiewicz of Nanticoke; several nieces and nephews, and one great nephew. The Reverend Father Edward Michelini will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11 at St. Bernadette's Cetholic Church in Canadensis. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, November 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 94 0 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Private cremation will take place at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory following the mass.
