Obituary of Jeaneane Pavlicka

After a difficult and courageous battle with brain cancer, Jeaneane Pavlicka, 16, of Pocono Lake passed to eternal rest in the loving arms of God on April 14 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A sophomore at Pocono Mountain West High School, Jeaneane touched everyone who met her with her beautiful smile, her sweet nature and her fun-loving spirit. She was active in cheerleading and a well-loved classmate for many young people in our community. During her lengthy illness, Jeaneane made a lasting impression on the doctors, nurses and other caregivers with her determination to conquer her illness, her enduring courage and the admirable maturity she showed under such difficult circumstances. She is survived by her mother, Maria and John Slager of Pocono Lake; her father Michael and his wife, Dana of Lower Montgomery County; older brother, Brian; younger sister, Kristine; and younger brother Sam; grandparents Nancy Pavlicka and Sam Sasso of Lower Saucon Valley; Nancy and Tony Garrone, of Elizabeth, NJ as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15 at the Blanche Price Park off State Avenue in Pocono Pines.
