Obituary of Ellen Rose

Ellen "Lynne" Rose, 63, of Cresco, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Ellen M. (Buntin) Rose. Before her retirement, she was the shipping coordinator for the US Navy Supply Depot. She was an active member of the Mountainhome United Methodist Church, where she made sleeping bags for the homeless. She was also a member of the Willing Workers, the Harvesters, and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by three brothers, Edward Rose of Cresco, Eric Rose of Toms River, NJ, Michael Rose of Shawnee on Delaware; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John Rose. The Reverend Barbara Housley will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10 at the Mountainhome United Methodist Church in Mountainhome. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. There will be a viewing from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mountainhome United Methodist Church, PO Box 327, Mountainhome, Pa. 18342 or the American Cancer Society, 1101 Hill Street, Jessup, Pa. 18434
