Obituary of Kimberly Kochera-Brown

Kimberly J. Kochera-Brown, 42, died Tuesday, April 4 at St. Luke's VNA Hospice in Bethlehem. Born in Mountainhome, she was the daughter of Iva (Roberts) Kochera of Mountainhome and the late George Kochera, Sr. She was a 1981 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School. She participated in the Youth Music Abroad Tour through Europe during high school. Kim graduated from Empire Beauty School in Wilkes-Barre and the Monroe County Vocational Technical School as an L.P.N. She was also active in the Country Gate Players in Belvidere, New Jersey over the years. Kim was the former owner of Hot Heads Hair Salon in East Stroudsburg. In addition to her mother, Iva, she is survived by a son, Dakota Brown and daughter, Sierra Brown, both of Mountainhome; three brothers, George Kochera, Jr. of Mountainhome, Ronald Kochera and his wife Lucy, of Bethel, Allen Kochera and his wife, Janice of Henryville; a sister, Virginia Green and her husband, Gerald of Sherman Oaks, California; special friend, Russell Kice of Mountainhome; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Barbara Housley will conduct a Memorial Service at 12:30 on Saturday, April 8 at the Mountainhome United Methodist Church in Mountainhome. There will be a visitation at the church at 12:00 until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Mountainhome Cemetery. Cremation services entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home, Corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
