Obituary of Edith Nebel

Edith Nebel, 85, of Mountainhome, died Tuesday, May 25 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. Born in Central Islip, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Mobbs) Bihl. She was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church in Sciota and attended the Mountainhome United Methodist Church in Mountainhome. Edith was a member of the Pocono Single and Marrieds Dance Club in East Stroudsburg, the Harvesters in Mountainhome, and the Barrett Ambulance Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Nearly New Shop in Barrett. She is survived by a son; Dan Hoehne of Cresco and a granddaughter, Krystin Hoehne of Stroudsburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gus Hoehne in 1973 and her second husband Wilhelm Nebel in 1992. The Reverend Barbara Housley will conduct a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. until the time of service. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
