Obituary of Catherine Berezuk

Catherine Berezuk, 81, of Long Pond, died Thursday, April 15 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp. She was the wife of the late William Berezuk. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Antonia (Coccolovo) Militano. She attended St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Pocono Pines and St. Vincent DePaul Church in Elmont, NY. Catherine is survived by her daughter: Tracy Oliva and her husband Adam of Long Pond; four brothers: Frank Militano of Carmel, NY, John Militano of Elmont, NY, Steve Militano of Elmont, NY and Philip Militano of Suffolk Co. NY; three grandchildren: Ashley, Aidan and Anthony Olivia of Long Pond. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Frances Spatafore and her brother: Joseph Militano. There will be a viewing on Monday, April 19 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Bryan Wright will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 20 at St. Maximilian Kolbe, Sullivan Trail in Pocono Pines. Entombment will take place on Wednesday, April 21 at 1:00 pm at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.
