Obituary of Victor Lamattina

Victor L. Lamattina, 80, died Tuesday, April 13 at home. He was the husband of Marie (Colelli) Lamattina who passed away in 2008. Born in Staten Island, New York, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Maryann (Cagiano) Lamattina. Before his retirement, Victor was employed as a printing press repairman for the publications industry. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by two sisters, Anna Pinata of New Jersey and Mary Canlon of Staten Island, New York; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. In addition to his wife, Marie, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Rosario Lamattina, and a sister, Margaret Prestia. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Henry Zapotocki will conduct a Blessing Service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 16 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg, Pa.
