Obituary of Herbert Seimer

Herbert William Seimer, Jr., 87, of Tobyhanna, died Sunday, June 18 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Florence (Shone) Seimer, who passed away in 1996, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Born on February 14, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Alice (McAdam) and Herbert Seimer, Sr. Herbert was employed with Brink's Trucking in New York until his retirement in 1981. He was a United States Army veteran who served during World War II. Herbert was a member of the VFW Post #509 in Tobyhanna. He is survived by a son, Robert Seimer and his wife, Julia, of Massapequa, NY; a daughter, Ann Weinbrecht of Tobyhanna; three grandsons, Karl Weinbrecht and his wife, Alicia of Tucson, AZ, Joseph and John Seimer, both of Massapequa, NY; three great grand daughters, Emerson, Jaden, and Jamieson Weinbrecht of Tucson, AZ; one niece, Catherine D'Ambrosi and her son, Keith of Bayshore, NY; and one nephew, Robert D'Ambrosi of Naples, FL. In addition to his wife, Florence, he was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Seimer, a grandson, Kurt Weinbrecht, and a son-in-law, Kurt Weinbrecht. The Reverend Dr. Thomas Richards will conduct a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley, Pa. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in LaAnna,Pa. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
