Obituary of Joan Holbrook

Joan E. Holbrook, 75, of Tobyhanna, died Sunday, April 18 at Pocono Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eileen (Finnegan) Holbrook. Joan was a member of the Monroe County Democratic Women and was the former President of the Pocono Pines Senior Center. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna and was on the Board of Directors of LODER in Stroudsburg and volunteered with RSVP. Joan is survived by her son: Edward Weigert and his wife Lucille of Belle Harbor, NY and her daughter: Joan Crosby of Tobyhanna; five grandchildren: Thomas Crosby and his wife Jenniferann of Tobyhanna, Edward Weigert of Baldwin, NY, Margaret Weigert of Johnson City, NY, Christina Weigert of Madison, WI and Alexandra Weigert of Belle Harbor, NY; three great-grandchildren: Piper Crosby of Tobyhanna and Jordan and Tyler Weigert of Tobyhanna. There will be a viewing on Monday, April 19 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. Deacon Gregory F. Loughney will conduct a Blessing Service on Tuesday, April 20 at 9:00 am at the Bolock Funeral Home. Private cremation will follow at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
