Obituary of Henry Bonczewski
Henry Michael Bonczewski, 78, of Cresco, died Thursday, June 22 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Floretta M. (Lookingbill) Bonczewski.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia Ann (Rackazewski) Bonczewski. He graduated from Plymouth High School.
Until his retirement, Michael was the owner of Michael's Beauty Salon in Mountainhome. He was a member of St. Bernadette's Church in Canadensis. He was also a member of the Pocono Heights Hunting Club, the N.R.A. (National Rifle Association), and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
In addition to his wife, Floretta, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Bakirhan and her husband, Yilmaz of Edgewood, MA; five sons, Michael and his wife, Jane of Parkton, MD, Kyle and his wife, Janis of West Chester, Casimir and his wife, Donna of Moscow, Taz and his wife Seana of Springfield, MD, Joseph Imbraglio of Dundalk, MD; a brother, Leonard of Nanticoke; two sisters, Pearl Bonczewski and Arlene Muchler, both of Plymouth; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Raymond, and a step-son, Charles Imbraglio.
The Reverend Father Alfred Vito will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26 at St. Bernadette's Church in Canadensis. Burial will follow at Seese Hill Cemetery in Canadensis.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, June 25 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
