Obituary of Stanley Kusimor

Stanley J. Kusimor, 69, of Tobyhanna died Tuesday, April 20 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Mary (Veronko) Kusimor, to whom he was married for 46 years. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Kapicka) Kusimor. He has been a resident of the Poconos for 15 years. Stanley was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church in Mt. Pocono. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his loving daughter, Vicky and her husband Joe Matarazzo; and the "apple of his eye", granddaughter, Regina Matarazzo. He is also survived by a brother, Frank Kusimor of New York; a sister, Marion Pitlak of New York; a nephew, Wiliam Pitlak; two nieces, Christine Marco and MaryJean Luca; grand niece, Kellyann Schwartz; several cousins; and many dear friends. He was preceded by his dog, Buttons, who passed away this week. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. The Reverend Father Bryan Wright will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23 at St. Mary of the Mount Church. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
