Obituary of John E. Stuart

John E. "Jack" Stuart, Jr., 72, of Cresco, died Friday, April 30 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Snydersville. He was the husband of Sharen (Willis) Stuart. Born in Englewood, NJ, he was the son of the late John E. and Marie (Doyle) Stuart. Jack was a former member of Local 1 International Union of Elevator Constructors in N.Y. and N.J. and retired from Chamberlin Manufacturing Corp. in Scranton. He was a volunteer firefighter in Englewood, NJ, Chief Safety Inspector for Bogota Fire Dept in N.J. and served as Fire Chief of the Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Co. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to his wife, Sharen, Jack is survived by his three children: John, Michael and Jacquelleen, one brother, two sisters and six grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390, Paradise Valley. Reverend Father Bryan B. Wright will conduct a Blessing Service at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private Cremation was at the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
