Obituary of John Donohue

John W. Donohue, 86, of Tobyhanna, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Harriet A. (Walker) Donohue. Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late John W. Donohue, Sr. and Mary (Noonan) Donohue. Before his retirement in 1986, he was a systems analyst for Grumman Aerospace. He was a member of St Ann's church in Tobyhanna. John was a United States Army veteran with the 60th combat engineers. He served during World War II in the Normandy Invasion, the Battle of the Bulge, and many other campaigns. He is survived by a son, John R. Donohue of Tobyhanna, a daughter, Sharon M. Bucalo of Moosic; a sister, Marguerite Rose of Pleasant Valley, New York; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Father Bryan Wright will conduct a Blessing Service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 8 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of Routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 12:30 until the time of service. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
