Obituary of Louise Granahan

Louise A. Granahan, 70, of Canadensis, died on Thursday, October 6, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Paul Granahan, Sr. Born in Canadensis, she was the daughter of the late Claude W. and Martha A. (Asquith) Seese. A life-long resident of Monroe County, Louise was a graduate of the Class of 1959 from Barrett Township High School. Louise spent her entire career as a bookkeeper. She was the owner and operator of Granahan Services for 25 years. She is survived by a son, Paul Granahan, Jr. of Canadensis; a daughter, Patricia Kirk of Stroudsburg; grandchildren, Amanda Granahan-Gonzalez of Stroudsburg and Michael Granahan of Stroudsburg, three great grandchildren, Sebastian, Ethan and Amorosa, and many nieces and nephews. Also, two brothers, Edwin Seese of Bangor, Charles Seese of Canadensis; two sisters, Joyce VanBuskirk of East Stroudsburg, Kathryn Scherer of Harrisburg, as well as, Dena Warmkessel of Stroudsburg, Felix Gonzalez of Philadelphia and Angel Rodriguez of Stroudsburg. In addition to her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Seese, and brother Richard Seese. There will be a visitation on Monday, October 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. The Reverend Father Carmen Perry will conduct a Blessing Service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11 at the funeral home. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
