Obituary of Harry ZeRuth

Harry "Honest Abe" ZeRuth, Sr., 78, of Saylorsburg, died Thursday evening, October 6 at home. He was the husband of the late Donna ZeRuth. Born in Bangor, he was the son of the late Louis and Bertha (Parsons) ZeRuth. In his earlier years, Harry built go-karts. He was very proud of his job as a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical. He loved to split firewood and spent hours watching western movies and TV shows. Harry is survived by his children: Harry ZeRuth, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Sciota, Tammy Waters and her partner Gina Bongiorno of Saylorsburg, Louis ZeRuth of Gilbert and Vonda Strohl-Yocum and her husband Barry of Tobyhanna; two step-sons: Edward Locke and his wife Robyn of Merrill, WI and Robert Locke and his wife Susan of Merrill, WI; two sisters: Florence Sargeant of Easton and Shirley Smith of Bath; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Louis ZeRuth and two sisters: Ann and Dorothy ZeRuth. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
