Obituary of Virginia Meister

Virginia Meister, 83, of Cresco, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Charles J. Meister whom passed away in May. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Ignazio and Anita Valentina (Pugliese) Perrone. Virginia and her husband were active ushers for the Unity Series for 30+ years. She sang for the Oratorio Society of New Jersey and in St. Cassians Church choir. In 2011, she and her husband moved to Cresco, to be closer to family. She is survived by her son and his wife, Drs. Chris and Debbie Meister, and their children, Julia and Evan. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, November 6, at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
