Obituary of Richard W. Walsh

Richard W. Walsh, 81, of Tobyhanna, died on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Erna Walsh who he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late William and Stella (Hearn) Walsh. Richard was a member of the Church of St. Ann in Tobyhanna, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Cantor. In addition to his wife, Erna, he is survived by his sons, Michael Walsh and his wife, Patricia of Warwick, N.Y. and Raymond Walsh and his wife, Lisa of Parlon, N.J.; grandchildren, six; great-grandchildren, one. There will be a viewing from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, November, 10 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November, 11 at the Church of St. Ann, Tobyhanna. Burial will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery, Cresco.
