Obituary of Robert L. Keeth

Robert "Bob" L. Keeth, 66, of Pocono Lake, passed away the morning of November 19, 2014 at his home. He was the loving husband of Karen (Krushinsky) Keeth with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Born in Boothwyn on June 26, 1948, he was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Virginia (Crumlisch Pierce) Keeth. Bob was a 1967 graduate of Chichester High School. He attended Penn State University for Engineering, and the U.S. Naval School for Electronics and Radar. Bob was a U.S. Navy Radarman on the Destroyer USS R.L. Page DEG during the Vietnam War and later worked for Franklin Mint in Lema, PA. Before his retirement, he was an engineering consultant who worked closely with PennDot on highway and infrastructure construction projects. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1980, where he worked with his brother, Richard, at his roofing business. While living in Austin he met and married Karen, then moved to Easton, Maryland for 4 years, and later to Pocono Lake in 1986. Bob enjoyed coaching the Monsignor McHugh Grizzlies basketball team for 11 years. He will be remembered by all, as a passionate artist who loved life, and sailing on Lake ONOCOP with his beloved dog, Hunter. His family was most important in his life. In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by his sons, Justin Keeth and his wife, Lauren of Portland, OR; Adam Keeth of Pocono Lake; sister, JoAnn Hatch of Belton, TX; brothers, Raymond Keeth of West Grove; Richard Keeth and his wife, Millie of Georgetown, TX; Brian Keeth of Kerriville, TX and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. with a 6 o'clock service on Tuesday, November 25 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Waggin' Tails Pet Rescue at www.waggintailsrescue.com, or the local public broadcast affiliate WVIA at www.wvia.org. Private cremation was entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
