Obituary of Miriam Helen Melendez

Miriam Helen Melendez, 66, of Long Pond, died on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Easton Hospital. She was the loving wife of Peter Melendez. Born February 26th, 1948 in New York, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Lynch) Robinson. Miriam was a kind person who was sensitive to the needs of others. She took pride in helping people and loved the quality time she was able to spend with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, documentary's and especially challenging herself to nightly Jeopardy. She also enjoyed knitting new projects. In addition to her husband Peter, she is survived by her children: Elena Marie Cabrera-Gonzalez and her husband Erick, Richard Thomas Cabrera and his wife AnnaMaria, Christopher Richard Melendez; siblings: Michael Robinson, Meg Robinson; and grandchildren: Ruben Jonathan Cabrera, Alexis Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Richard-Michael Cabrera and Chrysana Cabrera. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 14 from 2-5 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 5 pm at the funeral home. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
