Obituary of Phyllis Coombe

Phyllis Coombe, 82 , of Blakeslee, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at home. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Martha Shiner. Phyllis worked as a waitress most of her life. She loved sewing quilts, cooking, and watching her favorite soap 'Days of Our Lives'. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she especially enjoyed shopping for gifts for her family. She is survived by her children; Emma Jo and her husband Ray, Tod, and Tammy; daughter-in-law Cindy; former husband and friend Abner Coombe; grandchildren, Amy, Eric, Michael, Shannon, Alicia, Amanda and Joseph; great grandchildren Malcolm, Kadison, Peyton, Angelo, Parker, Victoria, Ashlynn, Pierce, Abigail and Maddox; and great-grandchild Harmony. Phyllis was preceded in death by her sons Terry and Scott, and grandson Matthew. There will be a viewing from 4 to 7pm on Thursday, January 22 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a 7pm service to follow. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
