Obituary of Esther Dean

Esther M. Dean was born to Booker T. and Suzie M. Watson on February 3, 1938 in Great Falls South Carolina. In 1955 she attended Howard High School in Wilmington, Delaware. She attended York College in Jamaica Queens. From 1978 until 1980 she attended and graduated from the, “Tabernacle Bible Institute”, in Jamaica Queens and received her Certificate in Evangelism. She graduated from Allen AME Medical Assistant School in Jamaica Queens in 1983 and become a Certified Medical Office Assistant. In 1976 she re-dedicated her life to the Lord and became a member of the, “Holy Ghost Revival Center Church” under the leadership of the Rev. C. McQuery , in Jamaica Queens. In 1978 after being invited to the Tabernacle of Prayer For All People, in Jamaica Queens by a former choir member of the Holy Ghost Revival Church, Linda Richardson she became a member of the Tabernacle of Prayer For All People under the leadership of the late Apostle Johnny Washington at 165-11 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica New York, in 1978. She worked and retired in June 1999 from the Board of Education of the City of New York, working at P.S.80 as a teacher. On Saturday, January 17, 2015 Mother Dean as affectionately called by many, graduated from this life into eternity. Preceding her in death: her parents; Booker T and Suzie M Watson-Adams, her husbands: William Dean, and William Phillips, her oldest son William Dean, Jr. (“Popper”- the stopper”), her sisters: Bessie Dowden, Jessie-May Adams, Josephine Mullins, Ethel G. Watson. She leaves behind to celebrate her memories, sister: Bobbi Adams; daughters, Jeanette Moses, Lorraine Keys, Juliette Owens, Corietta Bessellieu, and Esther Dean; son-in-Laws, Ronny Moses, David Keys, Lance Owens, Lyman Bessellieu; sons; Ryman, Nelson, David, Frank, Joseph, Michael; daughter-in-Laws past and present: Brenda, Georgia, Dorothy, Libra; grandsons: Bryan Dean, Joshua Moses, David Keys, Jonathan Owens, Lyman Bessellieu, Raymond Bessellieu, Darrell Phillips, Dominique Dean; granddaughters: Kyletta Dean, Teressa Dean, Rhonda Moses, Frieda Luckett, Brenda Luckett Arlena Dean, Raemeena Dean, Latasha Keys, Latoya Keys, Juliette Owens, Cynthia Owens, Sakeena Owens, Kerrell Phillips, Deborah Phillips, Dorathia Phillips, Destiny Phillips, Shameeka Phillips, Teressa Dean Taquash Baptist, Dezanyra Dean. There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 22 from 12-1pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a service at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater. The family would like to give a special thanks to: John Gerkhardt, Larry Holladay and Pastor Christopher Dubose.
