Obituary of Rosario A. Masdiaz

Rosario A. Masdiaz, 78, of Tobyhanna, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mountain City Nursing Home in Hazel Township. She was the loving wife of the late Humberto Masdiaz who passed away in August of 2014. Born in Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Silvino and Eugenia (Medina) Cintra. Rosario was a loving and devoted wife and mother who took great pride in staying home to care for her family. She and Humberto also had a passion for traveling and would visit new places whenever they could. She is survived by her sons, Julio Masdiaz and his wife, Iris of Tobyhanna; Jorge Masdiaz and his wife, Lisa of Jackson Township, N.J.; daughter, Joann Betancourt and her husband, Victor of Barnrgat, N.J.; grandchildren, Jonathan, Steven, Ryan, Adam, Amanda, Marco, Karla, Karina and great-grandchildren, Gabryel, Mason, Madelyn, Ethan and Kalina. There will be a viewing from 2 to 4pm on Tuesday, February, 3 at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend father Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 4pm at the funeral home. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
