Obituary of Angela Gocek

Angela J. Gocek, 92, of Scotrun, died peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Stroudsburg. Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Evangeline (White) Hannan. Before her retirement Angela worked many years as a clerk in local resorts, including Memorytown and The Summit. She was also a secretary for the U.S. Navy and The Kidney Foundation. Her most important role however, was a devoted and loving grandmother. She is survived by two sons: Matthew Gocek of Reeders, PA and Bob Larbig and wife Laura of Anaheim, CA; daughter in law: Lori Gocek of Scotrun, PA; brother: Tom Hannan and wife Sue of Centerville, OH; grandchildren: Samantha Gocek of Lexington, KY, Zachary Gocek of Tannersville, PA, and Brian Larbig and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children: Joe, Jim, Chris, and Margaret Ann Gocek and her sister Jean Hannan and her brother Bobby Hannan. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, February 4 from 2-3pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a blessing service at 3pm following the visitation.
