Obituary of Bruce W. Clarke

Sunrise on Bruce W. Clarke on Sept. 7, 1950, and sunset on March 21, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the loving son of the late Arthur Clarke and Carmen Weston. Bruce attended Canarsie High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he graduated in 1968. He joined the Army in 1969 with an honorable discharge. He joined the Port Authority Police Department from 1971-1972 before joining the New York City Housing Authority Police, working primarily out of PSA4 in lower Manhattan. He retired in 1994 and devoted the majority of his time to his beloved Rodeo. He also worked side security detail. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Deborah (Whitfield) Clarke; two daughters, Jennifer Clarke and Susan Ferris; two sons, Darryl Moore and Damon Sheppard; his wonderful grandchildren; his devoted cousins, Linda Poyer and Yvonne Harmon; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 26, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at noon at the funeral home. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
