Obituary of Eileen M. Aruanno

Eileen Marie Aruanno, 72, of Hazleton, died peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph N. Aruanno, whom passed away in 2013. Eileen and Joseph owned and operated several restaurant businesses for over 37 years including EJ’s hoagies in Mt. Pocono, Pasta Bella in Ocean city, MD and Mama Marzano's in Milford, DE. She enjoyed reading and crafts. Eileen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by seven children: Mary Aruanno of IN, Joann Paris of Fla., John Aruanno and his wife, Debra of Hazelton, Michael Aruanno and his wife, Katharina of Reeders, Thomas Aruanno and his wife, Sylwia of VA, Nicole Sopko and her husband, Daniel of N.Y., Matthew Aruanno of MD; a sister, Marilynn Dana of N.Y.; 22 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by her son, William Aruanno. There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 30 at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Paul Fontanella will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Ave., Mount Pocono. Private Cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
