Obituary of Adrian Calvin Rose, Sr.

Adrian Calvin Rose, Sr. 72, of Scotrun, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at home. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Rinker) Rose of 51 Years. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Calvin C. and Charlotte M (Halstead) Rose. Adrian worked for Edinger & Wycoff’s for over twenty years where he built and installed store fixtures. He also worked for Pocono All Star Sports Resort, Kilcummons Steel, General Electric, and Carbon Products before retiring. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Adrian enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Ellen, he is survived by his daughter, Robin (Rose) McKinney of Scotrun; son, Adrian C. Rose, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Stroudsburg; sister, Mary Ann (Rose) Hubbard of Greentown; grandchildren: Jennifer (McKinney) Schlegel and her husband, William, Jessica, Megan, and Alex Rose; great-granddaughters: Brelyn and Sharlett Schlegel. There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Scotrun.
