Obituary of Dennis Bradford Gilliland, Sr.

Dennis Bradford Gilliland, Sr., 74, of Pocono Lake, formerly of Bucks County passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 20th 2015 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He was the loving husband of Judy (Roberts) Gilliland to whom he had been married for 52 years. Born in Doylestown he was the beloved son of Dorothy (Chamberlain) Gilliland-Michener and the stepson of Horace W. Michener. A proud veteran, Dennis served with the United States Navy. Before retiring, he worked as a subcontractor for Anthony Pools with his brother in law Ray Roberts under Den-Ray Construction. He also worked for the Upper Bucks Technical School. His greatest enjoyment’s were old cars, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by his son, Dennis B. Gilliland, Jr. of Hatboro; daughters: Denise Gilliland of Lansdale, Renee’ Bolks of Pocono Lake; sister: Patricia Moran and her husband Keith of San Antonio, TX; grandsons: Tristan and his wife Jennie, Tyler, Gregory, Shaun; granddaughter: Kimberly; great grandchildren: Colin and Liam and many sister in laws, brother in laws, neices and nephews. He is also survived by his loving dog, Wiz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Gilliland and a son, Marc Gilliland. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, September 2nd from 6-8pm at the Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. Services will be held at 8pm at the Funeral Home.
