Obituary of Robert J. Brinkerhoff

Robert J. Brinkerhoff, 61, of Pocono Lake, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Celtic Hospice in Wilkes-Barre. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, he was the son of the late Martin J. and Lillian (Stolte) Brinkerhoff. Robert was a graduate of Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey, where he received his Masters Degree. He spent most of his working career as a billing clerk for Yellow Freight trucking company. Robert enjoyed the game of baseball and was a Houston Astros fan. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 707. Robert was a member of and former Lector at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. He is survived by his brother, Martin J. Brinkerhoff, Jr. of Bayonne, N.J.; sisters, Joan Aronowitz and her husband, Gregory of Pocono Lake, Claire McGeough and her husband, Michael of Lebanon, NJ; sister-in-law, Pat Brinkerhoff of Oakhurst, N.J.; nieces and nephews, Darcy Meys, Meg Aronowitz, Scott and Kevin Brinkerhoff; great nieces and nephews, Joshua and Meghan Bruner, Dakota and Rowdy Meys. There will be a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 13 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5112 Pocono Crest Road, Pocono Pines. The Reverend Father Sean Carpenter will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Robert may be made to: St. Maximilian Kolbe Social Concerns Committee.
