Obituary of Peter Kocsis

Peter Kocsis, 71, of Swiftwater, passed away in the home that he loved on Tuesday, July 6, 2015. Peter is sadly missed by his loving wife Jo Ann, his children, Peter, Casey & Julie, his daughter-in- law Danielle, his son-in-law Taylor and his granddaughters Zoë Skye and Samantha (due Sept 1). If you knew Peter, you knew that infectious smile and his ability to look at the positive side of every situation. Fast to laugh and make a joke (or a corny pun); he brought a smile to everyone he met. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends of many years – they were like family to him also. Born in Doylestown, PA to late Stephen and Anna (German) Kocsis, Pete spent many summers growing up on the family farm and learning from his Grandpa German. Except for when he and his best friend, Ben, were getting into trouble. Pete lived hard, he lived fast and he lived a wonderful, exciting life. If there was an adventure of fun to be had – Pete was there – and if he couldn’t find an adventure, he created one! He traveled the world, met people from all walks of life and befriended everyone along the way. His energy was amazing. His love was boundless. His life experiences made for great storytelling. While we will miss him, we would like you to join us in celebrating his life on Friday, July 10 from 5-7pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA. Please bring your smile and your fondest memory of time spent with Peter.
