Obituary of Angela C Carboneri

Angela C. Carboneri, 92, of Tobyhanna, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Carlo Carboneri to whom she had been married to for 56 years. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (DeGregorio) Scarmato. Angela moved to the Poconos and lived in Pocono Country Place since the early 70's. She was an active member of the community and attended PCP board meetings and was on the Social Committee. She was past president of the Ladies Guild and a member of St. Ann's Church. She is survived by a daughter: Clare R. Bozzone and her husband, Bernard of Tobyhanna; son: Carl D. Carboneri and his wife, Patricia of Leonia, N.J.; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Carlo, Angela was preceded in death by her three brothers and three sisters. There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, July 20 at St. Ann's Church, Main Street, Tobyhanna. The Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Angela may be made to the Global Catholic Network: EWTN, 5817 Old Leeds Road Irondale, AL, 35210 Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
