Obituary of Anna Poggi

Anna Poggi, 86, of Pocono Lake, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Allied Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scranton. She was the loving wife of the late John Poggi whom passed away in 2004. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Aiuto) Alogna. Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She would often visit her daughter and son-in-law at their business, Summit Motors in Pocono Lake. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. She is survived by her daughter, Julianne Walters and her husband, Edward of Pocono Lake; sons, Bartholomew Poggi of Queens, N.Y., and John J. Poggi of Pocono Lake; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ignatzio and Salvatore Alogna and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 3, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Sean Carpenter will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 4 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Pocono Pines. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
