Obituary of Lucy Mary Maikisch

Lucy Mary Maikisch, 90, of East Stroudsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at her home. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Filomena Vaccaro. Lucy was a switchboard operator for United Hospital, Port Chester, New York. She is survived by her sons: Daniel Maikisch and his wife, Arleene, of East Stroudsburg, and Steven Maikisch and his wife, Oksana, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her grandchildren: Melody Barber and her husband, Dontez, of East Stroudsburg and Zachary Maikisch of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her great-grandchildren: Kyra (Davey) Barber, and Ariana and Mia Barber, all of East Stroudsburg; and her nieces: Joanne Renda, Susan Anderson and Judy Randazzo, all of New York. There will be a viewing from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
