Obituary of Adam Beers

Adam Harrison Beers, 87,of Gouldsboro, died on Wednesday, November 2nd, at Home. He was the husband of Leona ( Eroh) Beers, they have been married for 68 years. Born in Weatherly,he was the son of the late Abraham and Ruth ( Stewart) Beers. He graduated from Weatherly Area High School. Adam was the owner and operator of an auto service station in Tobyhanna for many years. He then worked for the Tobyhanna Army Depot for several years before starting his own company Beers Trucking. He was a member of Tobyhanna United Methodist church, an Army Veteran and a member of The American Legion, Post274. an associate member of the Fraternal order of Police lodge 75, Stroudsburg. Adam served on the Weatherly Areas high School Alumni Association. He was an outgoing person who loved hunting and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Leona, he is survived by five daughters ; Carolyn Simmons of Morrisville, Virginia Pallo and her husband Robert of Tobyhanna, Cindy DiFazio and her husband Robert of Delran, Nj. Bonnie DiFazio and her Husband Peter, of Chesapeake, Va. Robin Miller and Husband Joel of Pocono Lake, Pa. Three sona Wayne Beers and his wife Kathy of Tobyhanna, Jerrt Beers and his wife Ruth of Sellersville, Adam Beers Jr. and his wife Cathy of Long Pond. A sister Gladys Bauer of Emporium. twenty one grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son , Edward Nelson Beers, and a sister Alice Peiser. There will be a viewing on Friday, November4th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd.
