Obituary of Michael D. Colford, Jr.

Michael D. Colford, Jr., 42, of Long Pond, died on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of Kathy (Vindas) Colford. Born in Plainfield, NJ he was the son of Michael D. Colford, Sr. of Las Vegas, NV and Alice Gale (Granit) Colford of Long Branch, NJ. Michael was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He was a family man who took pride in hosting family and friends for holidays and special occasions. You could always find him with a camera capturing life’s greatest moments. Michael was an avid sports fan, who loved the New York Yankees and Minnesota Vikings. He played for Innovation Church’s softball league for 10 years where he was also a member. He helped coach Pocono Summit Youth Wrestling Association, which his sons were team members. Michael enjoyed life and all it had to offer. He particularly loved camping and the outdoors. His best Friday nights were spent at home around his fire pit with his family. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two sons: Dylan and Logan; his brother, Vincent Biancamano of NJ; mother, brother and sister-in-law, along with several nieces and nephews and lots of cousins, aunts and uncles all of whom he loved dearly. Dylan and Logan describe their dad as the best dad ever and they looked up to him and hope to be like him when they grow up. His wife Kathy feels blessed to have shared the type of love they had and she looks forward to being with him again. There will be a viewing on Friday, August 21 from 11am to 12 pm at Innovation Church, 6048 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA. Services will begin at 12pm at the church. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Sterling, PA.
