Obituary of Joseph Francis Munson, Jr.

Joseph Francis Munson, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Buck Hill Falls, PA, passed away on September 8, 2015. Son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Rooney), he was born on September 19, 1948. Joseph was a Vietnam veteran serving as a member of the First Air Calvary and a Purple Heart recipient. Joseph spent his career owning and operating various business in the commercial insurance industry. Joseph was President of the Kiwanis of the Willistons on Long Island. He was the Chairman of the Board for the American Red Cross of Nassau County, NY and Martin County, FL. Former CEO of the Buck Hill Falls Company and President of the Buck Hill Falls Lot and Cot Association. He is survived by his children: Jennifer (Lara), Terry (Safaa), Christine (Bob), and Cynthia (Glenn), his grandchildren Carolin, Shayne, Samantha and Fenn. Also survived by his siblings: John, Cathy and James, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rusty, his adopted furry companion, was his faithful sidekick. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Red Cross Chapter of your choice or the Wounded Warrior Project. Services will be private at the convenience of the family
