Obituary of Edna Mae Reisenwitz

Edna Mae Reisenwitz, 95, of Long Pond, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Reisenwitz, Jr. who passed away in 2008. Born in Long Pond, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Grace (Deubler) Heller. Edna was an active member of the Mountainhome United Methodist Church and the Mountainhome community where she volunteered at the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library and was best known for her wonderful baking. Edna had a love for sewing, crocheting, and crafts. She also enjoyed plants, gardening, birds, animals, and the beautiful mountains. She is survived by her nephew and caregivers, Christopher Reisenwitz and his wife, Linda of Cresco; brother-in-law, John Reisenwitz and his wife, Beverly of Mountainhome; sisters-in-law, Barbara Dunlap and her husband, Joseph of Mountainhome, Naomi Casey of Cresco; several nieces and nephews and her friend and caregiver, Nora Mostellar. There will be a visitation from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, September 25 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend John Keretzman will conduct a memorial service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Edna may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
