Obituary of Catherine Madeline Sallusto

Catherine Sallusto, 77, who resided in Long Pond for over 27 years, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Long Island, NY. She was the wife of the late Edward Sallusto who preceded her in death in 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Eugene Terra. Catherine was quite civic minded and many may remember her helping with elections/polling in her area. Until unable, Catherine maintained an active role in her community civic association.Catherine was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Pocono Lake. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Fisher of E. Patchogue, NY; grandsons: Justin and Matthew Fisher of E Patchogue, NY; son, Craig DeFontes of PA; and brother, Eugene Terra of Staten Island, NY. A blessing service will be held Sunday, October 25 at 5 p.m. at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held Monday, October 26, at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
