Obituary of William A. Hubbs, III

William A. Hubbs, III, 80, of Tobyhanna, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Baker) Hubbs. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William Jr. and Lillian (Duff) Hubbs. William was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked in Real Estate throughout the Poconos for many years. He was a dedicated father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. William was of the catholic faith and a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish. In addition to his wife, Ellen, he is survived by his sons: Bill Hubbs and his wife, Denise of Odessa, N.Y., Stephen Hubbs and his wife, Allison of Neola; daughters: Linda Hoefer and her husband, Michael of Carlsbad, CA, April Pollack and her husband, Peter of Rockaway, N.J., Kerri Chamberlain and her husband, Dennis of Port Richie, Fla.; sister, Judy D'Alesso of N.J.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 5 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father John Boyle will conduct a blessing service at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Most Holy Trinity Parish, 236 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326.
