Obituary of Maria A. Gould

Maria A. Gould, 46, of East Stroudsburg, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her home. She was the loving wife of John Gould. Born in Staten Island, NY she was the daughter of Pasquale and Roseann (Rosso) Albunio of East Stroudsburg. Maria was employed as a pre-school teacher for the Amazing Place Daycare in Stroudsburg and also worked as a substitute teacher for the East Stroudsburg School District. She was of the Catholic Faith and a member of the Italian Club in Stroudsburg. Maria’s passion was children, she loved teaching them and helping them grow. She was a loving wife and mother who adored her family. In her free time you could find Maria in the kitchen cooking or baking or on her back patio sun bathing. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children: Amanda Gould, Kathryn Gould, Patrick Gould all of East Stroudsburg; her siblings: Joseph Albunio and his wife, Laurie of Staten Island, Patty Hilbert and her husband, Douglas of Kunkletown, Roseann Skonieczny and her husband, John of New York, David Albunio of Kunkletown and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 29 at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 30 at St. Matthew’s Church, 200 Brodhead Ave, East Stroudsburg. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
