Obituary of Edna Caulfield

Edna M. Caulfield, 98, of Mount Pocono, died on Monday, January 18th at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Lester Caulfield. Born in Astoria, NY she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Campbell) Schweiker. Edna was an active member of the former St. Bernadette’s Parish in Canadensis serving as a Eucharistic Minister and as part of the Rosary Society. She was also a former member of the Tri County Ladies Bowling League. Edna lived a long and active life. She spent many years traveling with her husband and many friends. She involved herself in numerous church and community activities and card clubs, but most of all she adored spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her cooking and sewing skills, making many Halloween costumes over the years for her family and her avid book reading. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Snyder and her husband Michael of Mount Pocono, granddaughters, Jennifer Wieber and her husband Joseph of Easton, Sherry Emilie and her husband Ron of Myrtle Beach, SC and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Lauren Emilie. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 10 at 9:30 am at the Villa of Our Lady in Mount Pocono. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
