Obituary of Helen C Baumann

Helen C. Baumann, 88, of Buck Hill Falls, died on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Baumann. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Veronica (Matusavage) Koncoski. She was a member of the former St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Canadensis. Before her retirement, Helen worked for the US Postal Service for 49 years; she spent 39 of those years as Postmaster for the Buck Hill Falls Post Office. She is survived by a son, Robert Baumann and his wife Diane of Roxbury Twp., NJ; daughters, Deborah Elsesser and her husband Hank of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patricia Dennis and her husband Jerry of Stroudsburg, Melissa Bandala and her husband Eddie of Mountainhome; sister, Veronica Wells of Friendsville and four grandchildren, Lisa, Robbie, Eduardo and Isabella. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Koncoski. There will be a viewing on Thursday, February 25 from 3-6 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father John Boyle will conduct a Blessing Service on Friday, February 26 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Helen may be made to the Hughes Cancer Center, 231 E Brown St, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
