Obituary of Benjamin K. Williams

Benjamin K. Williams, Jr., 84, of Cresco, died Wed., March 23, 2016 at his home. He was the loving companion of Pauline (Keiper) Dewitsky of Pocono Lake. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Hilma (Hartman) Williams. A proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Benjamin served during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master's Degree in Industrial Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College. Benjamin was a member of the Elks Club in East Stroudsburg, American Legion Post #60 in Maryland, Masonic Organization, Shriners, Lehigh Consistory, J. Simpson Africa Lodge and the Tall Cedars. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Heatwole of, Manchester, MD; grandchildren: Renee Heatwole of Manchester, MD and Benjamin K. Williams, IV, of Sarasota, FL.; nieces: Amy Lang and Sarah Rice of Bangor, and Beth Andrik of Patterson, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin K. Williams, III, and sister, Mary Jane Starner. There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Sat., April 2 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd., Cresco. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or a charity of your choice. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
