Obituary of Gary T. Keiper

Gary T. Keiper, 72, of Tobyhanna, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at his home in Pocono Pines. He was the loving husband of Beth (Berger) Keiper, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Vernon and Mildred (Grabowsky) Keiper. He co-owned and operated with his wife, Beth, Houseminders Cleaning Service. Gary formerly owned Keiper's Service Station and worked for Selig Construction as a mechanic for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Connie Hudack of Pocono Pines, and Michelle Unkle and her husband, Greg, of Goshen, New Jersey; his brother, David Keiper of Tobyhanna; his sisters, Shirley Tremko and Saundra Tigue, both of Tobyhanna; one granddaughter, who he raised, Dayna Keiper of Williamstown, New York; a great-granddaughter, Nariko Hart of Williamstown, New York; and several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Smith and Melanie Kuder. There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor Kenneth Cathcart will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
