Obituary of The Reverend Antoine E. Thompson

The Rev. Antoine E. Thompson, 53, of Tobyhanna, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Scranton Regional Hospital. He was the loving husband of Louise (Bailey) Thompson. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Al and Henryetta (Sherman) Thompson. Antoine was pastor of A New Beginning in Christ Temple and former employee of the Pocono Mountain Charter School. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Faith International Church, Bushkill Group Inc., 1008 Sand Hill Road, East Stroudsburg. A homegoing service will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. The church was Antoine's labor of love; it is important to keep his love alive, for through that he still lives. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A New Beginning in Christ Temple, 743 Edgewood Road, Tobyhanna, PA 18466. Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
