Obituary of Jenny Strum

Jenny J. Strum, 87, of East Stroudsburg, died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late Robert C.Strum. Born in Milwaukee, WI she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kartonovich) Jafuta. Before her retirement, Jenny worked for the M& M Mars Company as an Administrative Secretary. She enjoyed sewing, reading, shopping, wildlife and most of all golfing. She is survived by a daughter: Laurie Hendershot and her husband Jay of Swiftwater; a son: Jerry Strum and his wife Kathy of Naperville, IL; and four grandchildren: Jenna Hendershot, Jason Hendershot, Stephanie Strum and Brian Strum. There will be a viewing on Saturday, December 10 from 11-1 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Cresco. There will be family remarks at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jenny's memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation P.O. Box 7669 Atlanta, GA 30357-0669 or to theAlzheimer's Association, 57 N. Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. Cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
